Digital Marketing Intern - Part time

 

Position Description

The Funk/Levis digital marketing intern will gain industry experience and learn about current digital marketing tools, practices and strategies. Primarily, this internship will focus on digital content creation, SEO/SEM research and implantation, account management and online reputation management with additional opportunities to refine writing skills, professional documents (resume, cover letter), personal portfolio and get certified on Google. Interns work on real clients, gaining professional experience in an agency environment.

This position is unpaid. Our internships are designed to be taken for university credit or be flexible enough to allow for working another job. 

Responsibilities*

  • Help develop social media strategies for clients (i.e. performing research, writing reports, etc.)
  • Learn how to plan, implement and summarize digital marketing campaigns
  • Learn how to track and measure digital campaigns
  • Learn how to manage online reputation for clients
  • Copywriting and proofreading
  • Learn and implement SEO strategies and best practices
  • SRT file logging
  • Administrative and office management duties
  • Learn to work within a professional environment (i.e. answering phones, greeting clients, working with a various team members, etc.)


*Additional responsibilities may be added based upon the interests of the intern and/or agency workload.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn – be hungry for opportunities to learn and gain experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate professionally with the team and in outgoing emails
  • Flexibility/Adaptability – able to adjust to change and re-prioritize tasks
  • Confidence – be assertive in their ability to work and contribute in a team space and individually
  • Time Management – must be able to manage their time efficiently as well as follow-up with projects and complete in a timely manner
  • Positivity – must have a great attitude and a willingness be willing to contribute
  • Strong MS Office skills – must be able to readily produce documents; use scheduling calendars, e-mail, and Excel
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)


Requirements

  • Must be enrolled at the University of Oregon (Seniors preferred)
  • Majoring in Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising or Marketing
  • Must be able to commit to 10-15 regular hours per week
