Lane County Government found itself in the midst of a crisis and in desperate need of strategic communication help. The media had a firm grasp on the steering wheel of the government’s messaging, and there seemed to be no way to diffuse the situation.
Stuck in a difficult place, Lane County reached out to Funk/Levis for assistance. Anne Marie Levis, our president and creative director, was hired to serve as the county’s interim public information officer and immediately got to work turning the situation around. Her efforts resulted in a successful repositioning of the messaging away from the media and into the control of the county. Following this successful crisis management, Funk/Levis continued to assist Lane County with messaging and communication services, and led many strategic communication efforts including a bond campaign.
